Content is the information filling the pages of the site, in simple words, it can be blog articles, product cards, page texts, photos, video reviews - everything that carries a semantic load.
Signs of good content
How to determine whether the content on your site is of high quality, whether users and search engines will like it? Let's run it through the basic criteria.
Usefulness. The most important criterion, without which no literacy, photos and verbal lace text will not pull out. Before writing ask yourself: what should know, get, understand the reader, what action he will want to do? From this and dance. If the goal is purely to inform the reader - disclose the topic as much as possible. If to teach something - give detailed instructions. If to entertain - make it really funny.
Uniqueness. As already mentioned, texts should be unique, and that's it. Check the uniqueness can be on special services, 80-90% uniqueness is enough.
Relevance to the request. Very often low-quality texts sin the following: you type in the search "how to lay tiles in the bathroom", read it on the page of the site and cannot find an answer to your question. Optimization. There is an opinion that SEO-articles are necessarily over spammed texts, stuffed to the brim with crooked keys. This is long outdated: modern texts simply must be optimized to go to the top and bring the site traffic and new customers.
Optimized texts include:
- elaborate headings and subheadings H1 - H6;
- Title, Description, Alt;
- keywords, LSI, synonyms;
- clear and understandable structure;
- proper formatting and layout.
Veracity. The main danger of rewrites is that these texts are rewritten in their own words and are almost never checked for veracity. You need to check all the facts, theses, sources, so as not to mislead the reader.
Literacy. Texts with errors will not cause confidence in your company. This is just a bad tone, so it is worth finding a good proofreader or an editor with proofreading functions.
Simplicity of presentation. An abundance of complex terms, high-flown style, and multi-tiered sentences make it difficult to comprehend the text. Whatever your target audience is, remember: the simpler the text is to read, the greater the chance that the user will read it to the end and take a targeted action.
